The basics

What is a PVC patch?

A PVC patch is made from soft, flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) rubber instead of thread. Liquid PVC is poured into a mold, color by color, and cured into a single piece. Because nothing is stitched, the edges don't fray, the colors stay bright and the patch doesn't soak up water.

Molding also means fine lines, small text and raised 3D layers hold their shape better than they would in embroidery. That's why PVC patches are popular for tactical gear, outdoor brands, uniforms and bags.
