What embroidery digitizing actually is.
An embroidery machine can't read a JPG or a PDF. It needs a stitch file that tells it where every needle point goes, in what order, with which stitch type and which thread color. Digitizing is the work of building that file from your artwork.
Auto-digitizing software can produce a file in seconds, but it guesses at stitch direction, density and sequence, which is why those files often pucker, break thread or lose small text. We set each of those decisions by hand for the size and fabric you're actually stitching on.

Artwork requirements
What to send with your order.
You don't need perfect artwork. You do need to tell us how the design will be used, because the same logo is digitized differently for a cap than for a jacket back.
- Your logo in the best quality you have. Vector is ideal, but a low-res image or a clear sketch is often enough.
- The stitched size in inches or millimeters, usually the width.
- The item it's going on: polo, tee, cap, fleece, jacket, bag or towel.
- Thread colors or Pantone values, if you have them.
- Your machine format, such as DST for commercial machines or PES for Brother.
Quality checks
What we look at before a file goes out.
A file can look fine on screen and still run badly. These are the things we check because they're what cause problems at the machine.
- Density suited to the fabric, so knits don't pucker and caps don't get stiff.
- Underlay that stabilizes the fabric before the top stitches go down.
- Pull compensation so columns and outlines line up once the thread tightens.
- Small text large enough to read, with letter shapes adjusted where needed.
- Stitch order and trims kept efficient to save machine time and thread breaks.

What file formats do you deliver?
DST is standard, and we also deliver PES, EXP, JEF, XXX or VP3, whatever your machine reads, at no extra cost.
How long does digitizing take?
Most files are delivered the same day, usually within 3–5 hours depending on our workload. Rush files can be ready in 2–4 hours for an extra fee; ask first and we'll confirm the slot.
How is the price decided?
By placement and stitch count. Left chest and cap logos start at $10, small jacket backs (6–9 in) at $15–$30 and full jacket backs (9–12 in) at $30–$60, depending on detail. We confirm the exact price after seeing your artwork.
Can you match my thread colors?
Yes. Send Pantone values if you have them; otherwise we match as closely as possible to your artwork and include the breakdown with your file.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. We want the stitch-out to run right, so revisions are included until the file is approved.
My logo is low resolution. Is that a problem?
Not usually. Digitizing is done by hand from the shapes in your artwork, so even a rough or low-res reference is often enough to start.
Can I use the same file on a cap and a shirt?
It's better not to. Caps need a different stitch order and usually a smaller size, so we digitize a separate cap version when you need one.
Can I resize the file myself later?
Small changes of around 10–15% are usually fine. Bigger changes affect density and stitch length, so it's safer to ask for a file at the new size.
